**What you’ll be doing**:
Based out of our Brisbane Head Office, the SME Sales Manager role will execute and continually optimise sales strategy for the Virgin Australia Business Flyer program.

Reporting directly to the General Manager of SME, the SME Sales Manager will mentor and lead a highly motivated Account Management team, and a new and agile Business Development team and coordinate activities with Virgin Australia’s Agency Partnerships team to support the SME segment through partnerships with Travel Management Companies (TMC)s.

Other key responsibilities will include:

- Achieve sales budget and improve revenue growth and revenue quality in revenue and market share.
- Lead a highly efficient account management team that improves customer experience and grows share-of-wallet of managed accounts, allocating time and resources to activities.
- Manage a seamless transition of new accounts from Business Development to Account Management.
- Support the Sales strategy to drive improved market share for accounts within the Corporate Sales Optimisation portfolio’s.
- Recommend and implement improvements to current sales practices and procedures as needed.
- Deliver positive commercial outcomes for the business.
- Engage in the crafting of a robust revenue development plan for your sales portfolio.
- Develop strong business relationships with key customers and stakeholders to facilitate to meet the needs of customers.
- Develop and execute a customer engagement plan (including support from manager and team).
- Build future growth in customer portfolios by recognising repeat conversion of business.
- Retain customers through active and productive account management.

**You’ll be great in this role if you have**:

- The ability to work with mínimal supervision and effectively prioritise.
- You will have strong commercial influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience in negotiating in a competitive environment.
- You will possess excellent people skills and proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with colleagues, business partners and customers.
- Sound knowledge of fares and ticketing and/or revenue management principles
- As an experienced leader, you will have the ability to coach develop and support internal stakeholders to achieve company objectives and foster a culture of continuous learning and development
