**About the role**- Providing leadership and technical support to underwriters and the broader Commercial Division team, ensuring effective coaching and development.- Managing workflows for SME Accounts (New Business, Renewals, and Endorsements) to maintain high service standards for Key Partners.- Identifying and maximizing new business opportunities while ensuring alignment with divisional objectives and portfolio balance for growth and profit.- Building and maintaining relationships with local Brokers and stakeholders, engaging face-to-face to foster partnerships and improve business outcomes.- Ensuring underwriting adherence to guidelines by making recommendations on risks exceeding authority limits, managing referrals, and seeking opportunities for process improvement.

**About you**- Demonstrated experience in commercial underwriting.- A passion for providing a quality and responsive service to our internal and external customers.- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to both build relationships and influence at all levels.- Adept at proactively building and maintaining professional relationships and networks to enhance industry positioning, exchange knowledge and elicit beneficial outcomes.- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively with good attention to detail.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact, and influence.
