
Student Support Officer

**About the role**:
This is a non-teaching position primarily focused on the administrative responsibility of monitoring student attendance, ensuring compliance with international student regulations. The role is critical in maintaining accurate records, identifying attendance issues, and supporting students to meet their attendance requirements. Additionally, the position contributes to the overall student experience by providing timely support and guidance throughout their time at the College.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Attendance duties**
- Student attendance monitoring and record maintenance (including under 18) from Orientation to Completion
- Exam and excursion attendance administration
- Support Compliance Team as required
- Support Student Academic Services during Orientation and high impact times of semester
- Support Student Engagement and Success Manager with attendance and intervention administration
**Student Support duties**
- Assist students with their enquiries, signposting them to the relevant person
- Contribute to the continuous improvement, quality assurance, policy and procedures, relating to the student experience and student services in the college
- Support colleagues in the Student Support and Experience Team, assisting others with tasks as required in peak periods
- Assist with any other reasonable campus duties as required by the Senior Leadership Team
- Maintain a professional, safe, clean and welcoming environment
- Manage Student medical certificates (including exam attendance)
- Manage Authorised attendance for students
- Assist in Orientation and Celebration of Success
