**About the role**

We are looking for a Billing Analyst to join our Retail Operations team at Alinta Energy. This pivotal role sits within the Billing Delivery unit, where you will be responsible for delivering accurate, insightful reporting that supports billing operations for Residential and SME customer segments. You will analyse large data sets to identify trends and provide actionable reporting solutions that enhance operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

**What you'll do**
- Coordinate and govern work allocation to BPO teams, ensuring alignment with operational deadlines and resource availability.
- Perform daily reconciliation of gas and electricity billing data, ensuring accuracy and compliance across systems.
- Drive resolution of billing exceptions and system defects through root cause analysis and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Provide strategic insights through advanced data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with IT, Compliance, and other teams to deliver operational excellence and resolve issues.

**Your experience**
- Experience in Retail Energy Operations, with a strong understanding of billing, metering, and exception management processes.
- Proficient in SQL for data extraction and root cause analysis of billing issues.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including data modeling and reporting automation.
- Experience in developing dashboards and reports in Power BI to support decision-making.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Interest in leadership and a desire to grow within the business.
