**_ About the role_**

The Billing Analyst role focuses on accurate and timely invoicing for our Residential and SME customers, as well as studying processes for improvements and supporting back-office operations. This position also assists the Functional Lead and requires strong attention to detail and data accuracy to enhance customer experience. Collaboration with internal teams, third-party vendors, and network distribution companies is essential.

**_ What you’ll do_**
- Conduct daily reconciliation of back-office operations and billing for gas and electricity to drive customer service excellence
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing issues and inquiries
- Work closely with IT teams to align technical capabilities with business goals for successful project outcomes
- Collect and analyse data for accurate business reports and process improvement recommendations
- Support daily issue resolution for the BPO and Reporting teams, manage mailbox communications, and participate in system testing
- Assist in creating best practice processes and systems in line with business and customer requirements.

**_Your experience _**
- Proven experience in Retail Operations, with the ability to prioritise testing and manage billing defects effectively
- Proficient in data collection and cleansing, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills and a strong investigative approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholder and vendor relationships, with the ability to respond to urgent system issues efficiently
- Familiar with retail billing systems, Australian energy market procedures, and the gas and electricity billing process for Residential and SME customers is desirable
- Proficient in SQL (with query creation experience) and knowledgeable in JIRA; ITIL4 certification is a plus
- Demonstrate success in resolving exceptions in retail energy, with a strong interest in BPO Service Delivery and functional analysis is advantageous.
