Procurement Specialist

**Position Responsibilities**
- Actively collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams to deliver project success
- Develop, execute, monitor and receive request for request for quotes, purchase orders
- Ensure orders are managed utilising the project's work breakdown structure and in line with budgets
- Provide reporting to the supply chain management team on the quantities of material available and the quality of works performed
- Liaising with project staff in relation to the purchasing requirements
- Ensure correct materials and quantities are assigned to the relevant work packages
- Plan and manage procurement and expediting of goods and services according to operational requirements and time frames
- Goods receiving of deliveries into ERP systems
- Assisting in warehouse tasks including physical goods receiving, labelling, allocation and storage.
- Assisting in managing inventory and inventory within ERP system
- Assisting in quality action items relating to supplier management
- Support the development and maintenance of First Mode's best practices, specifically procurement best practices
**Basic Qualifications**
- 4+ years of experience in a similar purchasing, procurement, buyer, or inventory management role preferably within an engineering, mining, or manufacturing environment
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Ability to review contract language and other regulatory requirements, and understand the impacts to project requirements and execution
- Accountability and ownership traits with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop a rapport with key internal and external stakeholders
- Strong data entry skills
- Working knowledge of international procurement and logistics
- Previous exposure to early stages of warehouse set-up and operation in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office suite and Atlassian Suite
- Strong experience with ERP systems for order placement, expediting, goods receiving, inventory management
- Solid analytical skills, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines consistently
- A knack for thinking about how the parts of a system and project work together
- Flexibility and responsiveness in a fast-paced, dynamic, small team environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high functioning team
- Forklift ticket desirable but not essential
**Location**
- This position will be located at First Mode's office in Perth (Northbridge), WA
