A growing property development company based in Fremantle, Perth is currently seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join its growing team. With a strong pipeline of exciting commercial construction projects, the company is looking for a professional who can bring strategic insight, industry expertise, and operational excellence to its procurement function.
Role Overview The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process across multiple commercial construction projects. This includes sourcing materials and subcontractors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery in line with project schedules and budgets. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including project managers, estimators, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to commercial construction requirements
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and quality outcomes.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and relevant legislation
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting systems
- Extensive experience in procurement within the commercial construction sector
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, services, and supply chain operations
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
