**Team Leader**

Team Leader role available within Federal Government. 6 months fixed-term contract, APS 6 level. Australian Citizens only.

This Federal Government organisation is responsible for overseeing significant Australian social and political processes, including management of various major events.

**Your new role**

This Team Leader is a key member of the wider leadership group, responsible for leading, managing and supporting their area to deliver quality outcomes. Further you will be tasked with:

- Monitoring and reviewing work to ensure processes and disciplines are adhered to in accordance with relevant procedures and legislation.
- Contributing to the development of team objectives for short-term tasks and supporting strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.
- Setting priorities for the work area, assisting with management of team performance, and ensuring quality output for the work area.
- Managing multiple priorities at the same time.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in the administration, planning and organising of major logístical events with demonstrated ability to persist with a focus on achieving objectives, managing time effectively and identifying and organising resources to achieve goals.
- Ability to remain positive and respond to pressure in a calm manner, while committing energy and drive to see that goals are achieved.
- Strong leadership and management focus, with exceptional delegation skills.
- Ability to consistently deliver results and achieve project goals, working in a systematic, methodical and orderly way while monitoring and maintaining high standards for quality.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and negotiate with team members, business areas and external stakeholders
