This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Sydney CBD. There are approximately 320 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 400 staff by end of 2025. Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Denmark, Germany and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.

**About the role**

DroneShield is seeking a hands-on IT Manager of Business Systems to lead and execute on our strategy initially focussing on an Oracle Fusion implementation and integration efforts. This role will be responsible for both management and active participant in execution of tasks.

You should be tenacious with your curiosity both technically and organisationally to resolve cross-functional business and technology issues.

We’re looking for someone with an engineering-led mindset to lead our IT Business Systems and Strategy. A go-getter who wants to make impact each day and is focussed on providing exceptional Information Technology and Engineering to the IT teams internal Customers. This hands-on leader will drive innovation across business processes where technical contribution is essential.

Where applicable, there may be other opportunities to work on other areas of IT particularly after integration activities.

You are an Australian citizen with current Australian Government clearance (or able to be sponsored).

**Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations**
- Lead and actively participate in the implementation of and optimisation of Oracle Fusion ERP, ensuring alignment with business processes and objectives
- Be able to hands-on develop and manage integrations such as adapters, transformations and custom integrations including REST services in Cloud and on-prem environments
- Implement high levels of Security, support Governance and constantly iterate on approach
- Provide technical guidance to integration developers and team members
- Establish Observability capability and support requirements
- Act as an escalation point, participate in troubleshooting issues and work with relevant stakeholders when needed
- Perform and oversee low-friction change management processes
- Responsible for key technical stakeholder management

**Qualifications, Experience and Skills**
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working on and/or managing ERP Technology Programs
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in related roles. Roles could include:
- IT Manager
- Senior or Principal ERP Engineer (or equivalent)
- ERP Systems Engineer Manager
- Knowledge of the following would also be essential:
- Strong Project Management techniques and processes
- Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management approaches and protocols such as OAuth, SAML and TLS
- Comprehensive understanding of Cloud Architecture - IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS models
- Modern Operations and Service management models
- Knowledge of the following would also be desirable:
- Comfortable on the command line in a Linux first environment
- Go programming language
- Experience with DevOps practices
- Other areas of Information Technology capability such as End User Computing, Networking and other technology
