**The Opportunity**:
As a Trainee Transmission System Operator (TTSO), you'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our state's transmission network. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you'll develop the skills to monitor, control, and coordinate the intricate systems that keep the lights on. The training program will extend over a 12 to 24 month period and will require shift work to provide the full breadth of experience required in the role. On completion of the training program, you will perform roster relief and project support until a permanent position on the roster becomes available.

**About You**:
The successful applicant will have/be the following:

- A solid foundation in electrical engineering (Associate Degree or Diploma in EE) or a related field, coupled with a strong understanding of high-voltage switching and power systems.
- Extensive experience in the electricity industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry regulations and safe work practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to and appetite to adapt to new challenges and changes as the nature of our network control room continues to evolve.
