Auslink communications Pty Ltd is a growing company that provides high quality, timely completion and reliability of technical builds and maintenance using proven experience within the mobile wireless industry across Australia.
Due to our increased work load and commitment in delivering completion of projects to our existing clients, we have a casual opportunities for Radio Communication Technician / Rigger with proven Mobile Telecommunication experience.
This includes installation of hardware and software systems, maintenance and repair of radio access nodes and core network transmission equipment.
**Required experience, Skills and Competencies**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Installation, commissioning and integration of wireless Telecommunications equipment (3G, 4G and 5G Technology).
- Installation, commissioning and integration of Microwave transmission link.
- Installation, commissioning and integration of new Power supply unit (PSU)
- Installation of Ericsson and Nokia Airscale radio telecommunications equipment and cabling is preferrable
- Swap-out, Upgrade and Decommissioning of Mobile Telecommunication Equipment.
- Installation of a range of feeder RF cables and hybrid.
- Terminate communication cables of various types and sizes, assist with testing cables for compliance with specifications
- Maintaining and adhering to all policies, procedures and appropriate documentation
- Ability to read and interpret technical construction drawings and prepare acceptance documentation
- Working at heights certified with the ability to comfortably operate at heights, previous climbing experience is essential.
- Perform structural upgrades to telco infrastructure
**Skills and experience required**:
- A minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a Telecommunications Technician / Rigger working on building new sites and upgrades.
- Experience and strong knowledge of Nokia and Ericsson 3G, 4G, 5G equipment
- A current Certificate in Rigging (Basic, Advanced or intermediate preferred)
- Physical fitness to meet Fit to Climb Medical standards
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practice.
- Familiarity with standard installation of Telecommunication RAN equipment
- Solid knowledge of telecommunication rigging techniques and adherence to best practices.
- Good communication skills.
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
