Electricity Transmission Network Professional

Join our dynamic team as we seek a skilled Electrical Network Engineer to contribute to the development and maintenance of South Australia's high voltage electricity transmission network.
This role is ideal for an individual with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, excellent analytical skills, and experience with power system modeling tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating customer connection proposals, developing and maintaining power system models, and supporting system capability and security analysis.
- Contribute to long-term planning and performance of the transmission network.
- Evaluate customer connection proposals and negotiate performance standards.
- Develop and maintain power system models to support secure and operable system performance.
- Support system capability and security analysis, operational planning, and equipment rating assessments.
The successful applicant will have:
- 3-5 years experience in an electrical engineering discipline-related role and demonstrable capability.
- A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (essential).
- Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia (essential).
- Strong understanding of transmission system reliability, substation components, and operational performance.
- Experience with power system modeling tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and PLEXOS.
