Manager Human Resource Development

You will be pivotal in delivering operational and technical human resources advice and services to enhance organisational resilience and cultivate a high performance culture across the organisation.

Strong experience in HR (either generalist or a specific discipline), supported with a formal qualification in an HR-related discipline, and an unrestricted ‘C’ class driver’s licence are essential for this role.

In no more than two pages, please tell us about how you will be able to fulfil the job role requirements, with reference to your:

- Extensive experience in managing a human resource function for a large and complex organisation, including dealing with integrity/disciplinary matters, change management, industrial relations with multiple unions and work health and safety.
- Knowledge and experience in the delivery of human resources as a strategic business partner (including workforce planning, reporting and human resource development).
- Leadership ability to lead a team of dedicated HR practitioners and to effectively build partnerships with key stakeholders internal and external to the City.

You will need to have a working knowledge of employment legislation, and be able to interpret employee entitlements in line with industrial instruments and policy. We’ll even throw in the occasional curly question.

We are offering a total remuneration package of up to $228,000 per annum (including allowances and superannuation), and will be dependent on skills and experience. In addition to the remuneration package the City is offering:

- Up to 5% matching contribution to superannuation, in addition to the guarantee.
- Access to 13 Rostered Days Off per annum, with a 19 day working month.
- Two additional paid days of absence per annum
