We have an immediate requirement for an Electrical Design Draftsperson with Design/drafting experience in electrical drawings, schematics, GA, and P&ID to join our office in Murarrie office on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of activities including but not limited to;
**Main responsibilities**:
Prepare electrical drawings as required compliant to client specifications and codes and regulations, under the supervision of Electrical Engineer(s). Drawings would include panel layouts, electrical schematics, single lines, cable schedules and parts lists etc.
Develop and manage standard designs and parts libraries.
Identify and take action to mitigate risk in electrical design.
Ensuring compliance to company design standards, client requirements, and relevant Australian Standards
Continuously building knowledge, and keeping up to date on the technical and procedural aspects of the role.
Engage with all internal stakeholders in order to facilitate timely and accurate job execution
Preparation of detailed drawing packages that require a degree of technical design utilising knowledge of relevant design principles
Carry out quality checks and procedures
Communication with clients on details and recommend improvements and innovations

**Experience, skills and qualifications**:
A minimum of 3-4 years of Electrical design/drafting experience in development of Schematics, Termination diagrams, Layout drawings, using sketches and Red Line Mark-ups drawings from Engineers using AutoCAD in 2D and 3D. (Design in AutoCAD electrical - beneficial)
Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Drafting or equivalent
Experience in electrical networks, systems and having knowledge of electrical equipment, electrical circuitry and design
Well-developed communication skills and the ability to make clear and precise decisions.
