The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Project Officer, Custodial Operations and Health Taskforce to provide a critical role at/within Corrections Victoria.

**About the Business Unit**

The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group, comprising Corrections Victoria, Justice Health and Justice Services, plays an integral role in developing safer and more resilient communities and in delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.

Corrections Victoria is responsible for the implementation of policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.

**About the Role**

As Project Officer, Custodial Operations and Health Taskforce, you will be a member of a joint taskforce with Justice Health - the Custodial Operations and Health Taskforce - created to ensure key recommendations in the Coroner's Finding from the Inquest into the Passing of Veronica Nelson are implemented. The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires a capacity to exercise sound judgement, and the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.

Some of your duties will include:

- Contribute to the development of project documentation, including project plans, risk and issues registers, stakeholder engagement plans and status reports relevant to Taskforce activities.
- Coordinate the preparation of meeting documentation, including the development of terms of reference and the coordination of agendas, minutes, status reports, presentations and papers for the decision of key Taskforce governance groups.
- Coordinate the review and approval of project documentation and written submissions, including briefs to senior executives, the Secretary and Minister.
