**Patient Services Assistant - Custodial Health**

**Full Time/ Part Time Opportunity**

Western Health seeks the services of a suitably experienced and qualified PSA to join our team in Custodial Health.

This new role involves supporting the Clinical Teams in effective delivery of Cleaning and Patient Services Assistance within our Custodial Health environment.

**Essential Skills / Experience**
- HLT33115 - Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent
- Able to obtain required security clearance
- Knowledge and understanding of the delivery of PSA, cleaning services and Patient transport processes within the health care environment
- Good communication skills in a multicultural environment
- Customer focussed and able to develop effective relationships within Custodial Health environment
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities
- A commitment to providing a safe work environment
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team as well as autonomously within established policies and procedures
- Demonstrated understanding and proven ability to actively contribute to the principles of best practise and continual improvement

**Desirable**
- Experience as a PSA in a Mental Health or Custodial setting
- Similar role in a health care environment
- Experience and knowledge of PSA, Cleaning, and patient transport processes in a healthcare environment
- Experience in Ultra Violet auditing processes
