HR Shared Services Assistant

PRIMARY DETAIL

Annual base salary from $78,954 - $85,095 plus 17% superannuation (salary will be commensurate with skills and experience)
Full Time, fixed-term until 31st of January 2026
Based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde with hybrid work arrangements

About the role

Based in our Positions and Appointments team, you will process employment-related transactions including offer letters, employee records and facilitating onboarding activities in line with policy while maintaining a high level of data integrity and accuracy in your work.
- Key Responsibilities:_- Provide efficient, consistent, and accurate transactional processing for Tier 1 and Tier 2 HR operational services including but not limited to pre-employment checks, employee appointments, onboarding, HDR scholarship appointments, affiliate appointments and Honorary academic title appointments.- Process employment-related transactions ensuring relevant approvals, compliance with policy and procedures and high level of data accuracy.- Track and monitor employee transaction progress and follow up or redirect as required.- Maintain accurate filing and storage of employment documentation ensuring record keeping and archiving is maintained in line with internal and external compliance requirements.- Contribute to the implementation of improvements and standardisation of processes and standard operating procedures.- Perform user and system testing for upgrades and changes.

About you

You’re a detail-oriented professional with a passion for delivering accurate and efficient HR support. Ideally, you have experience using Workday and are confident handling a range of employment-related transactions, particularly appointments. Your background includes some experience in HR, and you're comfortable with high-volume data entry, always maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

You thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment and take pride in supporting seamless HR operations. A strong attention to detail and a proactive, service-oriented mindset will be essential in contributing to the smooth delivery of this role.
