The Technology Assessment and Access Division (TAAD) is part of the Health Resourcing Group, Department of Health and Aged Care and is looking to fill two Branch Manager roles. TAAD is responsible for supporting the government and working with key stakeholders to provide reliable, timely, safe and affordable access to medicines, devices and other medical technologies, including through the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), Life Saving Drugs Program, Prostheses List and blood, organ and tissue programs, and other targeted assistance programs and other programs to improve health outcomes for all Australians.
- demonstrated experience in the operation of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and/or Medical Benefits Schedule (MBS)
- proficiency in leading, managing and delivering a complex program of work covering diverse technical and policy issues in a fast-paced environment, including an exceptional results orientation based on leading by example with a resilient and positive approach to issues resolution.
- ability to provide a high strategic level of specialist expertise relating to health technology assessment, pharmaceutical pricing, and budget and modelling.
- demonstrated knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks and government decision-making processes.
- demonstrated ability to design and implement complex programs of reforms.
- excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively with business partners to meet the needs of our diverse range of stakeholders, including portfolio agencies

**Key Capabilities and Qualifications Essential**
- Demonstrated experience in health technology assessment leading to complex commercial negotiations.
- Demonstrated experience in the operation of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and Medical Benefits Schedule (MBS).

**Highly Desirable**
- Relevant formal qualifications or certifications
