What is the role?
ACT Policing is looking for experienced, enthusiastic and highly organised Executive Assistants.
The Band 3 Executive Assistant (EA) role provides support to SES Band 1 Executive members.
This merit pool will be used to fill future EA and Station Assistant vacancies.
What will you do?
**The Band 3 Executive Assistant role may include**:
Managing the diary of the SES Band 1, including scheduling appointments and meetings;
Arranging travel, credit card acquittals and processing payments;
Managing the workload and correspondence of the SES Band 1;
Tracking and following up tasks within the portfolio;
Providing secretariat support for meetings; and
Maintaining effective working relationships with all Executive and support staff.
To succeed in this role you will need to have great people skills, the ability to anticipate the needs of senior executives and demonstrate flexibility, resilience and initiative.
Is a self-starter, able to use initiative and problem solve;
Enjoys helping people and can quickly develop effective relationships with members of the Executive and support staff;
Has well-developed organisational skills including the ability to manage competing priorities;
Has good judgement, integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive business matters;
Has good communication skills and attention to detail;
Has experience scheduling or managing calendars and bookings;
Can work autonomously as well as in a team; and
Is able to demonstrate and promote the AFP’s core values.
Essential Requirements
A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one
Selection Criteria
Bands 2-5

Communicating and working effectively with other people
