**About the Company**:
Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

**The Role**:
We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers with high complex care experience to work with a 27-year-old male participant based in Eight Mile Plains, QLD. Our participant recently sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) from a motor vehicle accident. As a result of the accident, our participant is non-verbal and has limited movement in his upper and lower limbs. Additionally, he has a tracheostomy to assist with his breathing.

The current care plan in place requires 2 x assist for 24/7 care. The shift times are as follows:

- Morning shift will be (6:00am - 2:00pm)
- Afternoon shift will be (2:00pm - 10:00pm)
- Active & Inactive Night shift will be (10:00pm - 6:00am)

**Pay Rates**:

- Day - $40.00 per hour
- Afternoon - $44.00 per hour
- Night - $44.80 per hour
- Inactive Overnight - $144.80
- Saturday - $56.00 per hour
- Sunday - $72.00 per hour

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assistance with personal care, such as personal hygiene, bathing & grooming.
- Assistance with Tracheostomy Management
- Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
- Assistance with PEG feeding
- Hoisting (full hoist/sling hoist)
- Assistance with catheter care
- Completing skin checks
- Administrating Medication
- Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
- Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises

**Skills & Experiences**:

- Australian Driver Licence
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card
- Current Blue Card
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
