Catering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Catering Manager on a full-time basis to provide support to our catering departments at each of our residential aged care facilities across Tas, Vic and NSW. The role is a work from home position, with the expectation of regular travel to the individual homes across the three states as required.
The Catering Manager is responsible for supporting and providing organisational-level direction regarding the provision of catering services at each of our residential aged care facilities.
The Catering Manager will provide leadership and manage the catering services, ensuring residents are provided with a variety of nutritious meals whilst maintaining health regulation compliancy and other requirements met in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory standards.

**Role duties include**:
- Provide direction and support to management and catering personnel to ensure the correct operation of catering services and ensure uniformity between each site.
- Conduct regular catering audits across all residential aged care facilities to ensure compliance with both organisational and legislative requirements.
- Continually evaluate the provision of catering services at each residential aged care facility and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- In conjunction with the Procurement Manager, review new and existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Approve purchase orders and organise and confirm delivery of goods and services.
- Develop well-written; well-structured documentation that clearly outlines organisational requirements.
- Engage with Managers and other organisational representatives to determine both organisational and site-based requirements to make informed decisions.
- Maintain excellent customer service and communication skills, building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and service providers.
- Maintain safety standards and adhere to guidelines, policies and procedures.

**What you can bring to the role**:
**Essential**:
- Qualification/s as a Chef or Cook and current Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
- A minimum of 3 years of senior management experience overseeing the provision of catering services.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Working knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety legislation.
- A current Driver's License and willingness to regularily travel.
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
**Desirable**:
- Experience in Residential Aged Care.
