Are you ready to take the reins of one of Hobart's most iconic waterfront venues?

Franklin Wharf Restaurant & Bar is seeking a talented Venue Manager (or experienced Assistant Manager ready to step up) to lead our energetic front-of-house team and deliver exceptional guest experiences every day.

Sitting proudly on Hobart's vibrant waterfront, Franklin Wharf is home to a busy restaurant, lively bar, and function centre catering to everything from after-work drinks to large-scale private events. We're looking for a leader who's passionate about people, operations, and hospitality excellence.


What You'll Do

  • Oversee all daily venue operations – restaurant, bar, and functions
  • Lead, train, and motivate a high-performing team
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience across every service
  • Manage rostering, stock control, ordering, and reporting
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and Events team to ensure seamless service
  • Contribute ideas and energy to keep Franklin Wharf thriving year-round

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years' hospitality management experience (restaurant, bar, or venue)
  • Strong people leadership and hands-on service style
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume venues with confidence
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • RSA and current driver's licence
  • Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and public holidays
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable moments
