**A little about the role**
Reporting directly to the Assistant Director QLD, the Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Fostering and Kinship care service in South-West Queensland.
You will ensure all services are implemented to the highest standard and ensure all activities meet relative legislative and HSQF requirements.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Manage, develop, and provide leadership to the Team and Program Managers in line with Key Assets Australia objectives.
- Be prepared to lead on specific projects or initiatives that are in line with the agency business plan.
- Assist with the delivery of the service on budget and in the overall financial performance of the agency.
- Attend and represent Key Assets Australia Queensland at external forums, meetings, and community services’ planning meetings.
- Work closely with the Assistant Director and State Director on all aspects of the service as required.
The base salary for this position is $124,840.04 - $129,756.12 /annum (based on 1.0FTE) + super + vehicle & fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum. This position is full-time, ongoing.
You can be based at our Ipswich or Toowoomba offices.
**About you**
The successful applicant will come with:
- A bachelor’s degree in social work or equivalent, recognised by the AASW.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a family placement and/or children service’s agency at a management level.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with children/young people in Out of Home Care.
- A comprehensive working knowledge of all relevant legislation pertaining to children’s services as well as publications which inform current thinking regarding good practice and the safeguarding of children.Ability to communicate at all levels, influencing, engaging, negotiating, mediating, and building effective relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
