Job Overview

The Waste Operations Manager plays a pivotal role within the waste management team, overseeing the planning and streamlining of waste operations to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize operational costs.

This leadership position involves providing strategic guidance to the team, ensuring they are equipped to meet objectives, monitoring operations to optimize productivity and minimize additional expenses, and collaborating with the fleet maintenance department to maintain vehicle availability.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the team to ensure domestic and commercial waste services objectives are met
  • Monitor and review operations to maximize productivity and minimize additional expenses
  • Liaise with the fleet workshop to maintain availability of the waste fleet
  • Support in maintaining policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times and vehicles are in safe operating condition
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Onboard new drivers efficiently for bin collection

  • Flexibility in a fast-paced work environment
  • Efficient Microsoft Office Suite operation skills and ability to quickly learn computer systems
  • A current C Class Driver's Licence
