We're hiring a Delivery Manager to be the go-to person for a global consulting client. This organisation has >10,000 people working in 23 countries and over 2 decades of experience. So this is an organisation that is stable, secure and growing.

In this role, you oversee delivery, manage one of the large accounts and handle the commercial aspects of the relationship.

To be clear, this is not an ITSM-type or managed services role. It's a role that's focused on bespoke transformation projects through software.

What's great is that you'll get to work from home, in the Brisbane office, and even on-site at customer offices - maybe even with some international travel thrown in. And even though they're all about the digital world, they still value face-to-face relationships. **You will need to be based in Brisbane for this role.** With a high level of direct client interaction, this is one of the few non-negotiables.

To be considered, you'll need experience working in a professional services/consulting environment, a strong grasp of technology concepts with a knowledge of development life cycles.

You'll collaborate with sales colleagues to craft proposals and bids, build and maintain solid client relationships, and serve as the face of the delivery team. Plus, you'll lead and motivate your team to ensure client accounts are successful and profitable in the long term

**Job Description**:

- You'll take full ownership of one or more client relationships. That means managing everything from project margins to invoice processes to ensuring target profitability is met - and making sure the client is happy every step of the way.
- But it's not just about the client - you'll also establish strategic relationships with stakeholders both inside and outside the company. And when issues arise, you'll communicate them effectively and manage expectations like a consummate pro, all while building a trusted relationship with the client.
- You'll also be responsible for maintaining realistic project, quality, change control, and risk management processes - which includes forecasting revenue and cost. And when it comes to your clients, you'll make sure they have the utmost confidence in your service capabilities, contributing to the growth of the accounts.
- As the senior decision maker on the account, the project manager and team will report to you. You'll own the delivery to the client, set direction and vision, and make sure that your team follows a proven and trusted project methodology process. Plus, you'll ensure that all work has a clear business case that our team understands.
- But it doesn't stop there - you'll also work to fully understand your client's business, not just the technical side. And when it comes to acquiring new clients, you'll be involved in every step of the process. That includes developing proposals, identifying delivery units, putting together the bid team, and taking responsibility for the technical and commercial output and quality of the proposal.

**Qualifications**:
So what skills, experiences and qualifications would you need in order to be successful?
- First and foremost, we're looking for someone who has around 10 years of professional experience in a comparable position. That means you'll have a wealth of real world knowledge and lived expertise to draw from as you lead our team and manage our client relationships.
- We also need someone who can build and maintain trusting client relationships up to the executive level within large client organizations. This requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to take a strategic perspective and retain objectivity in high-pressure situations.
- As the leader of our delivery team, you'll need to have strong project management methods, techniques, and tools for effective management from initiation to implementation. You should also have experience with contract negotiation and management, as well as a broad set of skills in technology delivery and people and change leadership.
- Of course, we're not just looking for technical expertise - we need someone who has a strong focus on customer service and client satisfaction that shapes their approach. And finally, you should have the leadership and influence skills to motivate and achieve success, both for your team and for our clients.
