Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA)...Your chance to work with the best
Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
About the Role
The Operational Integration Manager is a strategic managerial position in our Customer and Network Integration team. The Operational Integration Manager leads a small team of rail specialists responsible for supporting the achievement of project sponsor requirements through the integration and operationalisation of Cross River Rail into the broader SEQ rail network.
Fundamental to this role will be the development and management of user requirement documentation, including the Concept of Operations and Project Requirement Specifications, to ensure these requirements are incorporated into the design and delivery of the CRR project. Reporting directly to the Customer & Network Integration Director, this position will work closely with internal engineering teams and key project stakeholders including Queensland Rail, Department of Transport & Main Roads and Construction Delivery Partners to ensure customer, operational and delivery outcomes are met.
This opportunity is offered as a three-year contract and is based out of our modern offices in Brisbane CBD.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Proactively manage the delivery of operational outcomes for the CRR project, ensuring alignment between operational outcomes, stakeholder requirements and the design and delivery of the CRR project
- Ensure the operational concepts for the Project remain aligned to the CRR Business Case and Sponsor requirements and reflected in key stakeholder requirements.
- Develop operational responses, plans, strategies and contingencies to guide the opening of CRR for network operations
- Proactively identify risks, issues and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies related to the delivery of key sponsor requirements
- Actively participate and represent the Project's interests in facilitated workshop and meetings with the Project's contracting parties.
- Provide an effective conduit for internal project interfaces relating to operations, including track alignment, rollingstock, signal design, program delivery, and land use (precinct) outcomes.
- Create linkages to interface CRR design and delivery with broader SEQ rail network growth and investment.
About You
- Broad railway knowledge across multiple areas of railway operations, linked to infrastructure definition and delivery (expertise in rail operational planning and/or rail modelling highly regarded)
- Experience leading people to manage and/or interface with the delivery and operations of complex rail network
- Ability to support, engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the varied disciplines of assurance, engineering, and design
Why work with CRRDA?
On Cross River Rail you will not only work with the best but become your best. And as we enter a new phase of delivery, our project offers a rare career opportunity for top tier professionals to have played their part on something that is genuinely city shaping and transformative.
Our people are supported with flexible work options, career development through the Australian Institute of Management, salary packaging, and matched superannuation contributions..
