The Small, Medium, and Corporate (SMC) team helps businesses achieve their digital transformation goals by matching customer challenges with Microsoft solutions. You will help our managed customers (SMC-Corporate) across industries, company sizes and territories to identify their needs and opportunities. One of the fastest growing customer segments in the technology industry, we are passionate about this mission and the Modern Work Sales team is looking for a motivated and self-driven sales professional to fill a key role as a Solution Sales Specialist.
**Responsibilities**:
**The purpose of this role**
The Solution Specialist role is focused on working with Microsoft’s account teams to identify and drive opportunities within their territories. As the Modern Workplace Specialist, you will be responsible for working with customer business decision makers to understand their unique business needs with a focus on to Microsoft 365 suites. You will be on point to orchestrate an extensive v-team covering multiple areas including Hybrid Work, Security & Compliance, Teamwork, Insights, Surface and Phone System to architect a solution that will empower customers employees and drive their business.
**Key accountabilities**
- Acquire, lead, and develop Modern Work opportunities (hybrid work, security, compliance, teamwork, insights, meeting and calling) in your assigned territory
- Develop relationships with customer, CxO level Business and Technical Decision Makers to drive Modern Work solution sales scenarios through understanding the customer’s long and short-term strategy, the industry, and the competition
- Drive customer intent and demonstrate solution value with envisioning workshops, landing the value proposition of M365 platform
- Drive Surface penetration in managed accounts in coordination with Surface sales specialist
- Identify customer business and technology challenges and bring them to agreement on the business and economic value of modern work solutions
- Own and drive new revenue growth for Microsoft M365 solutions (E5, Frontline Worker, Windows 365, Viva & Surface) within assigned accounts by setting and achieving monthly sales forecasts.
- Orchestrate both Customer and Microsoft key resources in a virtual team environment to define solution vision and achieve desired business outcomes.
**Qualifications**:
**What skills do you need to have?**
There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:
- An experienced seller who is passionate about and empathetic towards customers, with proven expertise in value selling and creative sales success. Experience working within a technical sales environment preferred.
- Closing deals through effective deal team orchestration - owning Microsoft sales opportunities end to end, to bring the best resources to ensure customer satisfaction and deal success
- Exhibits outstanding operational excellence - including monthly/quarterly forecasting, building healthy pipeline, CRM entry and virtual team orchestration
- Success-driven, works well in a diverse team and enjoy a dynamic and changing environment
- MS-900 M365 Fundamentals Certified or prepared to attain certification within 3 months. Experience in M365 platform and Modern Work (remote work security, compliance, teamwork, insights, meeting and calling) preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
