JIVARO are currently supporting an established Australian retailer who are on the hunt for a Property guru. Our client has a 300 + store network across Australia and New Zealand with a fantastic culture to match. This role is being recruited to support the Property Director to work through the retail lease negotiations to help align the portfolio with the changing needs of their business.

The role is a mixture of day to day management alongside looking at value add opportunities on rent reviews, lease renewals and regears as well as offering strategic advice to the business.

You will have a strong track record of delivering diverse commercial property development programmes that provide material financial returns and meet demanding non-financial operational objectives. Due to the complex nature of a retail business model previous experience within this space is essential, ideally within speciality retail.

Navigating store openings and closures
Landlord and tenant management and relationship development
Carry out feasibility studies showing the viability of expending capital in relation to property opening, re-development and refurbishment
Invoices, service charge and budgets
Negotiating contracts and reviewing those already in place
Accountable from contract creation to store opening; managing the process and ensuring budget and costings remain effective to financial objectives
Confident to liaise and influence decisions of all stakeholders; from Legal, Finance, Retail Stores and Sales departments
Financially savvy; you are across the numbers and expected timeframes. Eagerly forecasting and reviewing progress.
Reporting figures to Senior Head Office Team; suggesting improvements

**To be successful**:
Culturally, you are the person who "rolls up their sleeves" and jumps in to any given task or project.
Five years' experience in a similar role, a background in high volume retail stores would be highly advantageous
You can proactively manage numerous projects and store responsibilities simultaneously
An eye for the details, across each contract clause and financial backing required
Confident to report figures and progress to Senior Business Leaders
