**About Us**:
Rosewood State School is situated in the West Moreton District and services the community of Rosewood, which is some 20 kilometres South-West of Ipswich.
Many students travel to school by bus or train. The electric train line stops opposite the school. The school community is drawn from both residential and rural residential areas and is representative of all socio-economic groupings. The majority of year 6 students proceed to Rosewood State High School with the remainder attending private and state high schools in Ipswich.
The parent community is supportive of the school and its programs, which must cater for the wide variety of interests and abilities of students. The school enjoys close links with the local community, participating in many of its activities.

**About the Role**:
This role works closely with the Principal, and also involves working towards the four year strategic plan. The strategic plan includes quality assuring moderation processes, development of best practice in teaching mathematics, introducing IT to whole school teaching and learning and ensuring that Teach like a Champion strategies are taught.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
