Step Into Your Next Chapter:

The Head of Department - Humanities leads curriculum, pedagogy and staff capability across subjects including History, Geography, Legal Studies, Civics and Citizenship, and Economics and Business.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading curriculum planning, implementation and assessment practices aligned to the Australian Curriculum and QCAA syllabi.
• Embedding literacy strategies across Humanities subjects to support students in reading, writing, thinking and communicating effectively.
• Leveraging QLearn as a core platform. for curriculum delivery, teacher collaboration and student engagement.
• Driving faculty priorities that align with the school's Culture of Learning and Culture of Belonging agenda.
• Building teacher capability through targeted coaching, mentoring, professional development and the promotion of evidence-informed pedagogy.
