The Integrity Operations Section is responsible for activities contributing to the prevention, detection and deterrence of non-compliance and/or fraudulent behaviour against DVA’s programs and services.

The APS5 Investigator, under the supervision of the Senior Investigator, will assist with investigations of complex non-compliance and/or fraud matters, to ensure the integrity of DVA’s programs and services.

**Duties**
- Experience assisting with complex and sensitive criminal investigations and associated practise and procedures, including conducting Witness Interviews, Evidence Collection and preparing Briefs of Evidence;
- Sound knowledge and experience in data interrogation and analysis in order to detect fraud and non-compliance for a range of payments, programs and services;
- Experience working in geographically dispersed and multi-disciplined teams;
- Ability to identify, assess and validate relevant information from a diverse range of sources, and determine its reliability;
- Strong written and problem solving skills, and ability to produce high-quality work;
- An understanding of the relevant DVA legislation and policies or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge;
- Awareness of DVAs fraud risk environment, the contemporary criminal environment including new and emerging threats, and nationally significant criminal activity; and
- Ability to contribute to the outcomes of the Integrity Operations Section through quality decision making and by maintaining an understanding and appreciation of the investigation landscape.

This recruitment process is being used to fill ongoing and non-ongoing positions.

A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.

Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for a specified term of up to 18 months. A specified term may be extended up to a maximum period of 3 years.
