We are seeking a gas & gear representative for a leading gas & gear supply brand to assist with meeting sales targets and provide great customer service. This role is unique, as it's not a typical retail position, but a hybrid between customer facing and warehouse operations, so no two days are the same

Start: ASAP

Length: Ongoing

Hours: Full time, daytime only during store hours (7.30am-4.30pm Mon-Fri) including 1 or 2 Saturdays per month required during store hours (8.30am-11.30am Sat)

The Role

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
**Customer Service & Sales**
- Providing excellent customer service and resolving customer queries
- Coordinate equipment deliveries
- Contribute to meeting sales targets
- Assist with growing existing customer accounts
- Increase customer knowledge of products & upselling
- Creatively merchandising to maximise customer interest

**Inventory Operations**
- Safe handling of cylinders and pallets around the dock & yard
- Use of forklift where required
- Receiving, dispatching & storing of cylinders & hardgoods
- Regular inventory stocktake of hardgoods & gasses
- Delivery of cylinders to customer sites if required
- Provide machine demonstrations to customers as required
- Ensure compliances are adhered to

**Teamwork & Development**
- Collaborate with team members & other departments to achieve targets
- Sharing ideas to increase performance
- Review & meet KPI's
- Participate in regular training sessions
- Continuously increase product knowledge
- Work within the mission & values of the company

**Experience Required**
- Excellent written & verbal communication
- Strong sales skills
- Ability to lift and move stock is essential
- Clean rivers license
- Experience in hospitality, wineries or retail
- Trade experience is a bonus
- Forklift licence or ability to obtain forklift license through the client
