**About the role**
Santos is looking to appoint an Emergency Response Lead who is competent in driving strategic and effective crisis, emergency management, emergency response systems and initiatives across Santos’ Energy Solutions business division and operating assets. This is a permanent position located at Santos Adelaide operations.
**Accountabilities are delivered in line with the Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS). Key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Develop an emergency management policy framework harmonising process, economies of scale, best use of resources, and standardised and sustainable systems.
- Develop innovative emergency management methodologies for a complex and evolving energy solutions development program focused on risk management and worlds best technologies.
- Mitigate potential risks to the business by challenging redundant paradigms and provide best in class capability for development.
- Contribute to commercial efficiencies through resource and overhead cost reductions and efficiencies.
- Represent Santos within the state and national emergency management fora, ensuing a collaborative and integrated participation in managing community threats and risks.
- Establish the Energy Solutions Incident Management Team, enabled to manage across the Hubs within an all hazards response profile, maintaining 24/7 readiness, capability and capacity.
- Lead the development of Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) within existing assets at a standard that institutionalises Santos’ emergency response philosophies and principles.
- Be the technical specialist and consultant for the development and augmentation or ERPs through an evolving and new frontier operations and projects.
- Collaborate with Santos’ Senior Security Advisor to ensure security risk management is implemented effectively at all operational and business facilities.
- Manage competency assurance and validation for principal and lead commanders and key Incidents Management personnel, aligned to the Crisis, Incident Management and Emergency Response procedures.
- Mentor and coach designated personnel to facilitate longer-term succession.
- Lead/participate in emergency and security related incident investigation and/or lookbacks
- Ensures compliance with and adherence to standards for EHS performance and behaviour consistent with Company’s environmental, and health & safety vision and policies and standards.
**About you**:
- Tertiary Qualifications and/or Advanced Diploma in Emergency Management or relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field.
- Significant experience in leading and delivering Emergency Response Frameworks, processes and systems
- Experience working in Resources, SAR/SES and/or Govern
