We are currently seeking a passionate Collection Officer to join our high performing and supportive team to work in a fun and friendly environment.

About the role:
Joining our Finance team as a Collection Officer you will be responsible for a portfolio of commercial customers, collections, reconciling, dispute resolution, account maintenance and managing a high volume of calls and communications. This fast paced and dynamic collection team manages an average monthly ledger of $40M-$45M

As a Collection Officer you will:

- Maintain and control a debtors ledger to maximize collections and minimize bad debt.
- Manage, investigate and troubleshoot customer issues, expediting resolution of credit claims by liaising with Operations, Trade, Sales, and customers.
- Effective and mutually beneficial payment negotiations on behalf of the business within prescribed policies.
- Achieve desired collection outcomes and manage doubtful debts to determine when to escalate for further advise as per policies and procedures.
- Undertake receipt allocation and account reconciliation.
- Liaise with customers to understand their business requirements, facilitate effective & simple trading that promotes service and supports collections.

Who we’re looking for:

- Experience in collections, finance & customer service
- Strong technical ability - Oracle is preferable, Microsoft Excel & Outlook
