Our client who is a federal government organisation is seeking a Payment Support Centre Manager to join their Finance Operation team. Overseeing a small team, you will be responsible for the management of the effective & efficient processing of purchase orders / payments in our clients new SAP Ariba system.
Initial 3-month contract with the opportunity to extend a further 3 months, to be based out of our clients Clayton location, working from home 2-3 days per week. This will be paying an hourly rate between $70 - $75 based upon relevant experience.
This role will be looking for an immediate start.
**Other duties will be**:
- Management
- Provide leadership and management of the Payment Support Centre
- Provide management reporting as required
- Monitor individual performance against APA requirements
- Resourcing and capability
- Ensure resource capability is sufficient for work load requirements
- Ensure all Officers are trained and competent
- Ensure workload is evenly and effectively distributed
- Payment Processing
- Ensure on time, accurate, processing of tickets
- Ensure accurate onboarding of suppliers
- Ensure all Purchase Orders are followed up to effect release and goods receipting
- Advice on procurement policy issues
- Ensure Procurement Policy is clearly articulated and well understood
- Manage relationships with in-business as necessary with regard to policy issues
- Training and Development
- Provide regular training for staff as necessary, including as follows;
- SAP Ariba system training
- Policy training
- Government procurement training
- Contract management
- Cooperation with Procurement Team in contract management activities
- Coordinate engagement with the Procurement Team to Training and Development plan requirements
- Monitor team performance in contract engagements
- Documentation and Business Procedure Mapping
- Ensure a full suite of Business Procedure Manuals is available and updated as necessary
- Ensure business procedures follow standards as set out in manuals
- Ensure training and development is consistent with manuals
- ** Australian Citizenship or a Permanent Residency is essential**:
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting and / or experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of purchasing & supply contracts requirement, bolstered by a solid understanding of Procurement principles
- Demonstrated capability to manage a team and own workloads, to maintain deadlines and quality
- Highly developed ability to build relationships with both internal & external stakeholders
- Influential communication skills
**Nice to haves**:
- Experience and knowledge of SAP Ariba Business Network
