**Position Information**:
Mount Keira Demonstration School is classified as TP2 with a teaching principal. It is small in numbers but rich in pride and culture. There are currently a total of 90 students who are spread across four stage based mainstream classrooms.
The school stands at the base of Mount Keira, nestled by rainforest and overlooking the ocean. Situated in Dharawal country, the school’s learning centres have been named "Djeera Minimbah" - a place of learning.
The school strives to ensure they create a holistic schooling experience where the entire school community is informed and connected, leading to an environment where success is celebrated, and quality teaching is paramount.
The wellbeing of students is a strong focus of the community with programs such as Better Buddies, Student Representative Council, peer mediation and additional opportunities for leadership.
Parents, staff, students and the wider community play a vital role in educating the whole child. Students are provided with extra-curricular opportunities in sport, science and technology, creative and performing arts which allow students to excel and express themselves through a range of different learning experiences.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary.
- Teach a multi-age K-6 class, maintain current programs and organisational procedures, successfully manage both teaching and administrative roles
- Proven instructional leader with the demonstrated capacity to embed a culture of high expectations and student engagement through targeted professional learning for all staff.
- Develop consistent wellbeing practices that support students, staff and parents/carers to build a community that is engaged, challenged and connected.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to lead the school vision and strategic directions to ensure effective transitions and successful pathways for all students.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
