Communications Officer

In the role of Communications Officer you will contribute to the project delivery functions and provide support to communication and project managers, with direct consultation with stakeholders and clients as required by the Road Maintenance Contract.
**Accountabilities include**:
- Develop and implement Communication Control Plans (CCP's)
- Undertake consultation with project teams to ensure communication requirements are actioned as requested
- Review and identify stakeholder groups which may be impacted by routine and planned maintenance work
- Undertake research into external factors (such as community and sporting events) which may impact planned works and use this information to communicate potential implications in consultation with project managers
- Research and prepare content for public notification and coordinate distribution
- Handle client and stakeholder complaints within the scope of the contract and program of works, with resilience, professionalism and empathy, in accordance with departmental protocol
**Desirable requirements**:
- While qualifications are not mandatory, a degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing would be highly desirable.
