Data and Reporting Analyst

The role is heavily involved in the design and build of BI solutions that will provide effective reporting and analysis of the departments data in response to queries from both internal and external stakeholders.You will undertake and supervise others on a range of projects. Additionally, you will support a designated client base and be relied upon for strategic asset data reporting, consulting and advisory services in relation to a broad range of asset data and project management related matters. You will be able to gather and document business requirements and prepare plans for the development and implementation of reporting solutions and enhancements. A strong understanding and knowledge of information technology is essential as is having advanced skills in MS SQL Server, Oracle, SSRS, SSIS, Power BI, MS Access or other reporting tools.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**Reporting**
- Develop fit for purpose reporting, dashboards, and visualisations to support and enable data driven decision making across the department
- Provide advice and make recommendations about data

**Data analysis and reporting**
- Analyse data using standard tools (e.g., SQL server, Access, Excel, SSRS, PowerBI, Oracle and Visual Basic)
- Ensure delivery of timely, accurate and high-quality data products and reports
- Present complex concepts ideas and issues in clear confident and timely manner
- Undertake complex statistical and analytic projects to monitor the department progress against key outcomes
- Provide recommendations for embedding insights from analysis to drive action

**Business analysis**
- Analyse business requirements and business functional specifications
- Translate business needs into technical requirements
- Conduct End to End testing and troubleshooting
- Design and Development of QA documentation like Test Cases and Test scenarios from business and functional requirements

**Stakeholder engagement and consultation**
- Consult with internal and external stakeholders to inform research and analysis
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to inform research and analysis and build research capacity
- Hold user interviews, workshops, and planning sessions to identify business requirements
