**What's the job?**

Our Melbourne branch is currently seeking an experienced WHS Manager to foster a culture of safety, drive compliance with Australian WHS laws, and promote continuous improvement in health and safety performance company-wide from the office to the factory and installation sites. The role is primarily focused on the manufacturing and installation of staircases for high-end residential projects and major volume home builders.

**What do you do?**
- Oversee all WHS procedures, strategy and policy development
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks, hazard identification processes, and control measures
- Provide leadership and coaching to all staff on safety-related matters
- Incident management and investigation
- Return to work and workers compensation management
- Lead initiatives to cultivate a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation
- Develop and implement WHS training programs, including inductions, refresher courses, and specialised training for high-risk tasks
- Onboard and induct new employees
- Ensure all operations are compliant with WH&S regulations On-site auditing

**What do you need?**
- 5+ years experience working in a similar role
- Diploma or higher in WHS or OHS
- Additional qualifications in risk management, safety auditing, or emergency management (advantageous)
- Certifications in WHS auditing and training (advantageous)
- Experience working in or with residential construction projects and an understanding of the unique WHS challenges in high-end and volume home building environments.
- Demonstrated experience in leading WHS strategy, risk management, incident investigations, and compliance programs across multiple sites.
