**Some of your responsibilities will include**:

- Management of large-scale complex performance-based rail service contracts, ensuring that all parties' obligations are met through the adaptation and implementation of contract management frameworks.
- Undertaking and building strong administrative processes and controls.
- Proactively analysing issues and managing their resolution, which may result in variations to the service contracts, to support the achievement of transport objectives and outcomes.
- Consulting, collaborating, and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders and representing the department at various forums such as Contract Management meetings.
- Providing expert advice and preparing complex ministerial correspondence, performance reports, briefing notes, cabinet submissions and other general correspondence on behalf of the Minister, Director-General, Deputy Director-General, General Manager and Executive Director.

Requirements of the role
- Contract Management experience including principles and methods relating to service contracts.
- Analytical skills and experience with operational and financial Key Performance Indicators and measures, including analysis of issues and the production of performance reports.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management with a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- High level communication skills with experience in providing written and verbal advice to support the development of executive-level briefing notes, ministerials, reports, and other correspondence in line with departmental standards.
