The Customer Service Manager's primary responsibility is to deliver prompt and effective solutions to customers, focusing on terminal operations, cargo care, logistics chain solutions, and beyond-the-gate services. This role involves developing and maintaining exceptional service interfaces for both internal and external customers.
The Manager will add value by proactively engaging with customers, offering a range of services that ensure high-quality service, value for money, and contribute to increased revenue for the business. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading and managing a team of three.
**Key Responsibilities-**
- Develop and maintain a high standard of communication with DPWA customers, local and overseas operational staff.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the requirements of each of DP World Australia Shipping Line customer.
- Driving further development and interface solutions between customers and DPWA to increase efficiency of container flow and logistic chain.
- Liaise with and advise terminal operations and management on contract matters.
- Ensure all parties are informed of changes to contractual agreements.
- Provide forecast volume for commercial, terminals, berthing managers and national scheduling manager.
- Provide information for contract negotiations.
- Oversee the daily, weekly and ad hoc supply chain and intermodal customer communications.
**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:
- 5+ years’ experience in supply chain management.
- Experience and detailed understanding of vessel operations, schedules and ship planning.
- High level communication skills and ability to develop close working relationships with both client Lines’ and terminal operations staff.
- Sound working knowledge of DP World internal planning systems (Sn4, SSR, etc.)
- Must be able to work both unsupervised and as part of the Customer Centre team as required.
- Must be adaptable, have a flexible and fluid approach to NPC duties and be able to accommodate varying workloads.
- Analytical and logical approach to problem solving.
- Proactively approach to problem solving - identifications of operational issues and recommending solutions.
- Ability and willingness to take on, develop and retain ownership of role-related projects within the company.
- Must be able to work both unsupervised and as part of the Customer Centre team as required.
- Must have a flexible and fluid approach to working to accommodate the speed of changes within the industry and varying workloads.
