**About the Role**
Join our dynamic Engineering team in this newly created position, where you'll take the lead in driving reliability initiatives at DP World Port Botany Terminal. You'll play a key role in optimising core equipment performance by implementing strategic reliability solutions and addressing critical corrective actions.
Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and enhancing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, provide technical guidance on troubleshooting, commissioning and reliability solutions, and establishing robust systems for collecting and analysing maintenance data.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Prepare regular equipment reliability reports and provide relevant improvement strategies
- Ensure existing maintenance schedules are reviewed and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Review of activities against OEM requirements
- Review of OEM bulletins and modification
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation related to maintenance practices and reliability engineering practices
- Produce timely reports with graphical outputs
- Identify potential problem areas in equipment maintenance activities implement improvements
- Achieve KPI’s set in annual objectives such as equipment availability, MMBF. MTTR and EM reduction targets
- Ensure that repeat equipment issues are promptly highlighted and addressed, reducing the impact on operations
- Equipment availability is met according to our customers’ requirements
- Align business unit reliability strategies to National and Global reliability strategies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Preparation of reliability work tasks for successful implementation
- Monitor reliability maintenance activities and costs
- Support the planning and execution of reliability and improved maintenance-related projects, including evaluating and implementing new technologies and equipment upgrades.
- Provide safety leadership and demonstrate safe working behaviours and practices
- Provide mentoring, coaching and development of direct reports and technical staff
**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Minimum five years’ reliability experience in heavy industry, mining or mobile fleet industries
- Engineering Degree/Diploma or industry related trade with demonstrated reliability experience
- Demonstrated expertise in Asset Management and Reliability Engineering
- Experience in equipment condition monitoring technologies such as thermography, vibration analysis, oil analysis
- Knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques
- Experience and knowledge of OHS& Acts, regulations, Australian Standards and related codes of practice
- Experience in workplaces with industrial relations is beneficial
- Strong leadership qualities
- High levels of computer literacy, technical and administrative skills
- Highly developed reliability engineering skills
- Understanding of asset criticality, performance, life cycles, and cost drivers
- Logical thinking and ability to implement strategies for change
- Ability to work without supervision and make sound, logical day-to-day decisions
