Our Engineers support internal and external manufacturing operations remain operational, continuously improve and innovate. With our extensive range of facilities and environments, our Engineers have opportunities across many diverse areas including Biological, Chemical, Automation, Capital Projects, Maintenance, Safety, Process Development, Technical Services, Utilities and Validation.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will bring your excellent knowledge, effective leadership and communication skills to provide first class site support to our internal customers based at our manufacturing site in Bendigo in areas relating to operation effectiveness and quality compliance.

**What You Will Do**

**Responsibilities include, however not limited to**:

- Manage the planning, coordination, execution and continuous improvement of sites Preventative Maintenance, Calibration and Recertification programs
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement & implementation of plans to improve engagement and the workplace culture
- Actively develop staff through coaching and training, to take responsibility for their empowerment and maximise their outputs
- Maintain an effective After-Hours Call-Out system to provide 24/7 coverage for emergencies and equipment breakdowns
- Manage Contractor Management program and including health and safety inductions
- Implement standards, programs, and processes to achieve safety, quality, production and cost targets
- Manage equipment life cycle and plan equipment replacement, New Equipment Introduction and Retirement Processes
- Report Maintenance, Calibration and Recertification Execution against plan
- Execute corrective action and improvements within the Quality CAPA and Change Management Systems
- Preparing cost estimates and capital requests
- Ensuring compliance with building codes; maintain Essential Safety Systems
- Manage Site Access Control and Security System
- Model Safe by Choice behaviours by taking responsibility for own and others safety.
- Be a valuable contributing member of the Engineering Team

**What You Must have**
- A degree in Science (Microbiology, Chemistry), Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Pharmaceutical or Electrical) or equivalent Industry experience
- Have experiences in Plants Services including Purified Water, Clean Steam, Pharmaceutical HVAC and Environmental Control, SCADA
- Maintenance cost budgeting experience and cost control
- Have working knowledge of Pharmaceutical GMP & vaccine manufacture is advantageous
- Experience in Maintenance Scheduling and use of SAP Maintenance Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Demonstrated experience in Contractor Management
- Solid leadership skills to work within a team environment
- Well-developed skills in establishing, influencing and maintaining business relationships
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including confidence to deliver presentations and training
- Possess a sound and logical approach to problem solving
- Self-starter with initiative who works well with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to make decisions on a day to day basis
