**About the role**:
You will be a key individual contributor and member of our high performing Movements Asset team. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams (operations, maintenance and technical) and provide valuable input to the prioritisation, planning, scheduling, coordination and preparation of proactive, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities for field execution.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with agreed HSSE practices and procedures as outlined in the Geelong Refinery Management System.
- Prioritisation of corrective maintenance work using the risk prioritisation matrix. Provides leadership in deciding which work can go Quick-Fix, schedule breaker, routine, and Turnaround vs On the Run.
- Effective interface and execution of the Maintenance Work Process within the Production department. Communicates Maintenance work, scheduling and priorities with Production teams, working closely with Production Specialists, Area Maintenance Managers, Process Engineers, Work Planners and Scheduler.
- Coordinate and assure operational planning of maintenance tasks including relevant procedures, LOTO, decontamination, spade lists, gas job, Remote Operated Valves, machine/pump swap and Operator maintenance.
- Reviews Planned Work Orders, assuring correct HSSE requirements are met, realistic need dates are specified for work completion, and cost estimates are acceptable prior to maintenance scheduling. Provides feedback to planners to drive improved job plans and efficiency.
- Ensures jobs going into schedule are Ops ready and are consistent with the safety and reliability priorities.
- Reviews maintenance backlog(s) and updates priorities (“need dates”) as needed to assure acceptable completion dates can be met for all work. Owns “need dates” for when maintenance work must be completed in the field
- Together with Area Maintenance Manager, manages available maintenance budget against cumulative risk in maintenance backlog, providing visibility and escalation as necessary to assure acceptable overall level of risk is not exceeded
- Balances Corrective work inputs against Preventive work load to assure timely completion of all Preventive work
- Oversees that the Permitting Process for maintenance work is effective
- Maintain Operations TA worklist and equipment availability spreadsheet
- Reviews quality of notifications and provides feedback to drive continuous improvement of notification quality.

**About you**:

- Have at least 3 years of (petro) chemical experience or major hazardous facility - Operational or trades experienced.
- Someone who’s highly analytical; you will have demonstrated excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Possess a curiosity will see you focused on safety, driving change and innovation.
- Promoting maintenance best practices and improvement initiatives
- Competence in data management - JD Edwards knowledge highly advantageous
- You will have excellent communication skills with the courage to intervene and ensure maintenance, projects and changes are performed in accordance with Viva safety standards.
- You’ll be comfortable influencing others, engaging stakeholders across all levels and leading change.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours occasionally (i.e. shutdowns).
