About the Team The Privacy and Information Access Branch (P&IA) sits within DTP Legal, and is responsible for coordinating timely responses to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and Parliamentary Budget Office Requests for DoT and overseeing compliance with DTP's privacy obligations. The P&IA Branch works with stakeholders across DTP and is responsible for a culture that promotes fair access to information while ensuring its proper use and protection. About the Opportunity This opportunity sits within Privacy and Information Access Branch and will contribute to the processing of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and the management of privacy and other related information access matters, including PBO requests and data sharing as it relates to personal information. Under supervision, the Privacy and Information Access Advisor will manage a workload of FOI requests, appeals and complaints, and privacy matters with well-developed specialist expertise and provide authoritative advice and support to stakeholders in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. The role will also assist with business support improvement tasks, as required. About You - Effective Service Delivery - Manage and deliver volume FOI requests and privacy matters. - Compliance -Provide timely, accurate and considered decision-making and advice in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. - Stakeholder Satisfaction - Ensure a high level of customer and stakeholder satisfaction, trust and confidence. - Relationship Management - Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff at all levels including senior members of the organisation, external agencies and customers. - Continuous Improvement - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the P&IA Branch. Desirable - Demonstrated knowledge of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.
