The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.

**About the Role**

An exciting opportunity exists for a short-term (until 7 Nov 2025) **VPS4 Portfolio Communications Adviser to join the Portfolio Communications Internal Communications team**. The role is a **critical function in** our strategic communications team**, helping develop, deliver and evaluate communications plans and activities across a broad range of corporate programs and initiatives.** The Communications Adviser supports the delivery of best-practice and evidence-based communications to bring the Education State narrative to our staff.

This is an important and varied role specifically responsible for:

- assisting in coordinating, developing and evaluating communication strategies
- assisting in managing key client relationships across the department
- assisting in the delivery of key staff events
- providing administrative support to the team as required

The role also actively participates in a broad range of communication tasks, events and activities to support the delivery of the Division's work.
