Master Builders Insurance Brokers (MBIB) is a rapidly growing national insurance broker specialising in the building and construction industry. With a proven history of developing high-quality specialist insurance brokers, we aim to create an environment where our people feel respected and engaged with the business, and where they are rewarded for outstanding work.

We are currently seeking an experienced insurance broker to join our ACT office. Initially covering one of our team while on parental leave, this role will manage an established and growing book of ACT clients. Upon return of our team member from parental leave this role will manage a combined book of ACT and NSW clients, depending on growth of the ACT portfolio.

The core functions of this role are:

- Managing and growing an established portfolio of ACT and/or NSW clients including managing claims and SME new business opportunities,
- Delivering an exceptional client experience,
- Representing MBIB at industry events,
- Working closely with the Master Builders Association and the MBIB NSW office.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- The ability to effectively manage and grow an existing book of business,
- Tenacity, drive and patience to succeed in a competitive market,
- Excellent organisational and time management skills,
- Strong relationship management skills,
- Previous experience in an insurance broking role,
- Ability to work both autonomously, and as part of a local and national team.

Experience in commercial insurance and Tier 1 Broking are both mandatory. Exposure to construction and/or trades insurance experience desirable but not essential.
