Talent International is searching for an experienced **Systems & Applications Team Leader** to join our client in the **Energy** sector.
- **Based in Brisbane - 3 days in the office & 2 days WFH**:

- **Paying up to $1010 inc p/d**:

- **Initial 3 month contract with potential to get extended
**Position Purpose**
The Systems Team Lead is responsible for the provisioning of support, administration and maintenance across the ICT environment. This position covers the server and end user computing environments housed in both public and private Cloud.

**Responsibilities & Outcomes**
- Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing team with an emphasis on management accountability, best commercial practice and continuous improvement.
- Lead a team and culture that fosters collaboration and communication within the team, as well as with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a high level of awareness of current and future information technology trends (certification needs to be kept current) with an aim of identifying suitable technologies for the business.
- Champion development and implementation of the ICT Strategy, ensuring successful change management to deliver and embed these changes.
- Together with the Architecture team develop, monitor and maintain a five year systems and end user computing roadmap to plan for future requirements in accordance with the ICT Strategy.
- Responsible for assessing raised "New Initiatives" and subsequent solution design process.
- Accountable for the availability and maintenance of all aspects that comprise end user computing and server environments.- Input into the design effort to support agreed architectures and ensure successful solutions are implemented.
- Provide technical coordination with external vendors for the support of server and end user computing environments.
- Identification, design, implementation and ongoing support of general system improvements to the server and end user computing environments. Including options for potential solutions and assessments based on technical and business suitability driving improved efficiency and a reduction in costs.
- Input into the identification of software items to be upgraded within the Software Upgrades and Rationalisation Project (SURP).
- Report on server and end user computing environment availability, trending and capacity requirements.

**Experience & Knowledge Required**:

- Five years proven information technology experience, specifically in the delivery and support of technical solutions.
- Experience leading a team with proven capability to support a technically complex environment.
- Experience in Cloud computing (for example Azure, AWS).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Proven ability to develop, document and review technical concepts and designs.
- Proven ability to analyse data to identify trend and exceptions.
- Ability to utilise critical thinking, judgement, and experience to define, analyse, and resolve incidents and problems.
- Ability to express high level solution design in terms that are understandable to both business stakeholders and the technical resources that need to develop detailed solution design.
- Proven knowledge and experience supporting and maintaining complex technology environments including:

- Windows and Linux/Unix Operating Systems
- Cloud platforms and operating environments
- Virtualisation Platforms
- Citrix Products suites
- Microsoft Product suites
- Mobility Management and strategies
- Database Technologies
- Enterprise and Trading Systems
- Cyber Security strategies and product suites
- Backup products and procedures
- Knowledge of ITIL based principles.
- Knowledge of role-based security models to ensure services are provisioned in line with best practice.
- Proven ability to document technical concepts and designs.
- Strong customer focus, participating in high priority faults/requests through to restoration, while ensuring the optimum escalation process with the client, internal support groups and third parties.
