Are you an accomplished leader with a deep understanding of power system dynamics? Powerlink is seeking an experienced engineer to take on the role of Team Leader Power System Performance. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive excellence in power system analysis and optimisation, while contributing to the seamless operation of our interconnected power systems.

You will;
- Provide leadership to our team of 8 Grid Control Planning Engineers
- Offer expert recommendations on power system modelling, transmission plant specification, and control systems to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Identify system limitations and develop innovative solutions to mitigate risks and improve overall performance
- Represent Powerlink in industry forums and collaborate with regulatory bodies to influence standards and regulations related to power system performance
- Foster relationships with stakeholders to leverage expertise and stay at the forefront of technological advancements

Our Asset Strategy & Planning team is critical for leading our efforts to optimise power system performance, and facilitate the seamless connection of renewable and synchronous energy generators.

**Your expertise**:

- **
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering coupled with experience within the transmission sector**:

- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or willing to obtain
- Expert knowledge of power system dynamics, network modelling, and analysis techniques
- Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating technical teams to achieve technical and commercial outcomes
- Familiarity with relevant legislation requirements, including the Electricity Act and National Electricity Rules
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey analytical results and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
