Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Senior Compliance Officer on a non on-goinng position for 12 months.
**Position Overview**
The department is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, self-motivated and results driven Senior Compliance Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented financial professional to support the management of compliance functions in the Disclosure and Compliance Team.
- You will undertake reviews of financial disclosure returns of various actors in the political system, claims for election funding following an electoral event and other investigations as required to assess compliance with Part XX of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918.
- You will be responsible for supervising a small team and building technical capability and fostering career development.
To excel you'll have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting;
- experience in conducting financial audits and analysing complex information providing concise and accurate advice and support on compliance;
- experience communicating and collaborating effectively with team members, business areas and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority;
- a demonstrated ability to work autonomously and a strong commitment to working harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results and support the department's strategic direction.
